Just a few days ago the Jabra Supreme Wireless Headset designed by me showed on one of the jumbotrons on Times Square. It’s especially exciting for me as I lived in New York the 2000-zeros. Once you’re a ‘new-yorker’ you learn quick to stay away from the Times Square area, but it’s really cool to have something to do with something showing up there, quite unreal actually. Wonder how many people noticed it?
Watch 5-time Ironman World Champion Craig Alexander demo the Jabra SPORT wirelss headphones I’ve designed at the CES show in Vegas.
It’s funny sometimes to see the final product advertizing and especially so when it’s on video. I had nothing to do with the devemopment of this video – only the ID of the product itself. I wonder who is starring as 007 in this video : ) You may check my post of the product ID here.
Here’s the Jabra SPORT promo video. Like the Supreme video, I have no part of its development, but it is for me this video is extremely very entertaining. The fun aside and on a more serious note: to experience an ID project fransition from concept to a final product, is indeed a very self-fullfilling experience.
The white Jabra Stone figured in Dutch Women’s Magazine Goed Gevoel as a ‘desired’ accessory along with pumps, necklaces, shades and bras! : )
Jabra decided to have made a short video about who they are where the CEO and VP and ID (me) talk about the company. The format was that I was asked a series of questions and then I tried to asnwer them impromptu. I had to do this several times in my own words, and then the ‘director’ picked the shot he thought was best I suppose.
Denmark is quite known for design and in 2009 an exhibition was held in Hong Kong to showcase samples excellent Danish Design and the Jabra Stone was there and even got a royal visit by Prince Joachim and his wife princess Marie. See them here checking out the Jabra Stone! From what I heard they stayed a few minutes at the Jabra Podium and had a chat about the Jabra products. I feel like I also have been visited! :-)
Crunchgear (today known as TechCrunch), one of the biggest gadget review sites on the WWW decided to run a story with me about the design of the Jabra Stone, read it here! The article figured on front page on October 20th 2009! Following this major Industrial Design network/news site Core77 decided to run an article on their first page, here is the link. This was for me personally bigger than Crunchgear as I frequently visit Core77, and as many other fellow designers.
